Danielle Nicol is the first person who gave me the A-HA moment – inspiring me to have my own voice in the whole nude art or boudoir industry.
She is the first person who embrace her own wicked image and charming personality unapologetically, and literally said NO to my face on something that she didn’t agree on. That was sometime around 2014, we have become friends since.
Not only Danielle is a talented artist herself, she is also my go to muse whenever I need an uplift in my creativity. We have been working together for the 6th times together, each time we managed to create something very unique and new (1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5). Early 2020, we have also partnered together (alongside Kevin Stenhouse) and did a joint exhibition together, named “Dirty Laundry“. It was a very successful collaboration, definitely one of its kind in the city of Calgary.
We have such a different personality, but somehow, we support and adore each other. Our friendship is definitely something I would forever treasure and grateful on.
This summer, with everything closed for COVID, we have gone out to embrace the outdoor and did a “pick me up” photoshoot together. I think this is the first time that I am not capturing Danielle in a depressing way, but rather featuring her “looking cunty”, which she claimed she specializes on. LOL
By the way, Danielle photographed me too. Look it up on her Instagram (@danielle.nicol.photography). Give her a follow too.
