The week right before we all went into isolation, I had the opportunity to attend and capture one of the most surreal event I have ever experienced – Moonbeam.
I am not a foreign guest to the Off-beat Figure Drawing and I believe you have seen quite a few from me for the past many years, such as All Along, Misery is a Butterfly, Sawathe, Wild & Free, and Dream Drawl. Off-beat has become my yearly ritual to be there, to tell a story and soak in the creative energies of many. What so special this time was that we were doing it under the moon.
Yes, you heard me right, under the moon.
Taking place at the Contemporary Calgary, I had the privilege to witness Museum of the Moon, a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. It is just one of the most calming moment to just sit there, mesmerizing this amazing piece of artwork, alongside with the music and seeing people coming together to create art.
I am so proud to be able to share this experience with you here.
