I took a break in February and headed back to Malaysia to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. While I was there, my friend – YK was at the back of mind. But I did not give him a call or ask him out for a coffee. No major excuses, my mind was simply all over the place at that time, leading to a missed connection.
Until last Sunday morning, a mutual friend of ours informed me that YK has passed away … …
Shocked. Teared up. Full of regret. The last time we saw each was 2015.
It was a wake up call. Never take our time for granted. Our time here in this planet is really short that we really do not know what will happen in the very next minute. Live life, that’s what we always said.

I have procrastinated for the entire March and haven’t posted much work here. I know I should. Sometimes, getting it done is better than getting it perfect. And here it is, Travis, a fellow photographer, who brave himself with an intimate lifestyle photography session with me, a session that is completely out of his comfort zone. For those who is familiar with Travis, he is sharp, goal oriented, on point, and highly energetic. This collection probably showcase a very different side of him that you do not often see, just a few tricks added to help him express himself better while featuring the layback side of him.
If you would like to learn more about my style and how I approach every session, there is an opportunity for you. I am throwing a 2 days workshop – The Calm & The Chaos, in collaboration with Teri Hafford Photography on April 20 – 21 in Calgary. More information about the workshop is available here. Come join us if you are interested.
Let me know what you think about this collection.
