When Michael Ward came visit last summer, due to some personal reason, our catch up session was cancelled. In fact, I should thank him because it was the very same day that I did the Sleepless. This man has never stopped inspiring me. Two days later, on his way from Saskatoon back to Vancouver Island, he decided to stop by Calgary again to meet up with me. I waited, regardless how late it was, while figuring out where am I going to find a studio at this late hour.
Inspiration kicked in, for the very first time, I went outdoor. The rough concept is to capture the urban, but due to the spontaneity, short timing and highly experimental, this has become the most challenging session for both myself and Michael. The result is far from perfect but again, the inspiration is now drafted for future elaboration.
