If you are expecting a grand finale in this series, I am afraid I will have to disappoint you. Collection 10 will not be anything extravagant or over the top. In fact, it would be a true collection that represent Boon.
As the final collection, I am going to incorporate the story-boarding element into this post. The photos in this collection could have been broken into two different collections, but I choose to put them all together because they are all taken within the same 15 minutes session. In the workshop, majority of the time we try to take as many shots as possible within a short duration and it went by so fast. To time myself better, I went through my iPhone song list and selected 3 songs; each has about 5 minutes duration. When it comes to my turn, I disconnected the existing music that was playing and plugged in my iPhone to the speaker, and then I asked Beatrix to keep her robe on for the photoshoot.
Yes, it was Beatrix’s self brought pink robe that inspire me for this collection. I wanted to do something that is editorial, something that is relaxing (yes, that’s Boon), soft pose. I wanted Beatrix to be just like a regular beautiful woman, not overly posed, making sure she felt comfortable at all time … breathe … and relax.
The moment the song was played, instantly, the mood was all set. Beatrix picked it up immediately and moved along with the music. And I … I was singing along while photoshooting, that was first.
We were connected, without much words needed.
Collection 10 – Day & Night might not be the most beautiful collection in the entire series (if you disagree, tell me about it). It is a collection that I put a little of myself and my own personal taste into a genre that I newly experienced.
