Some of you might have already seen it on my Facebook page but I have yet made a formal announcement here on my personal space. To be honest, it was hard to believe, until I finally see the certifications and seals today, the whole thing has finally sunk in.
I have entered a few of my photos taken this year to the 2013 International Photography Awards. With no expectation, in the recent announcement of the 2013 IPA winners, one of my photo series has won a Second Place in the category: Editorial – Personality. Besides, a few of my other photos have also awarded as Honorable Mention.
This is just bizarre!
By October 2013, I would be celebrating my second anniversary of my Simple Story website. Looking back to my work this year, I have done something a little unusual from my wedding photography work; I started to do a lot of art learning and collaboration with other artists. I think my voice, my point of view and my style are getting stronger. My motto â keep it simple and genuine, document what I see and be humble.
Along the journey this year, I have met a lot of amazing people through the collaboration and we have now become friends. I definitely would like to share this award with these people who have taught, colloborated, contributed, and supported me in many ways.
Nevertheless, a great thank you to all my clients, guests and readers who have been trusting, and believing in me. I will keep moving ahead fearlessly, chasing my passion and showing you more beautiful work.
